Unpotting an Operculicarya pachypus
We unpot an outdoor-grown Operculicarya pachypus to reveal its impressive underground caudex and root system, with notes on soil, airflow, care, and taking cuttings.
Repotted an Operculicarya pachypus. The underground caudex is seriously impressive!

As you can see, the soil mix is super basic—pretty much just mud. This works because we grow it outdoors with great airflow.

Actually, Operculicarya pachypus isn't too fussy about its environment and is super easy to care for!
By the way, this is also a great time to take cuttings for propagation~
